We have an ongoing house construction. We decided to have some repair in preparation for the upcoming rainy season. We hired some carpenters to fix it. They removed all the damaged ceilings and roofs. They are the carpenters so they know what to do. My role is just to supervise them and check if they need something especially if their materials are lacking. I am the one who contact the hardware shop and negotiate. So far, everything is doing well, their done fixing the roof and they are currently working in the ceilings. After the ceiling, they will proceed to walls, then to the floors in which they will be replacing our floor tiles. Here, i took some photos of their finished projects. (They fixed our Gutter)

(Finished Ceilings - Hall way)

(Finished Ceiling- Bed room)

(Newly replaced and painted Galvanized Iron Roof)

As what I observed, the process that took much of their time is when they cut woods. They’re using a hand saw to cut the plywood. I guess they can work much faster if we only have Sawmill blades which can cut woods way faster than using a regular handsaw. Sawmill uses circular saw blades that made it more efficient to cut thin woods like plywood. Speaking of Saw blades, I never thought that there are different kinds of it which are used for different kind of materials. There is “Ripping” saw blade which is the most commonly used. There are “Plywood” saw blades, as what the name suggests, used to cut plywood and other sheets. There are “Abrassive” for tile cutting and “Diamond” for cutting glass, concrete and other ceramic. If you want to know more about saw blades, you can visit GetUpTile.com and see what the site has to offer!

"THE VICAR OF NIBBLESWICKE"

Where getting so near! Roald Dahl's Collection: The Online Journey Book Review Special is about to end this month. But before that! here's another great story from Roald.
The Vicar of Nibbleswicke is a children's story written by Roald Dahl and illustrated by Quentin Blake. The principal character is a dyslexic vicar, and the book was written to benefit the Dyslexia Institute in London (now Dyslexia Action), with Dahl and Blake donating their rights. The Reverend Lee is suffering from a rare and acutely embarrassing condition: Back-to-Front Dyslexia, a fictional type of dyslexia that causes the sufferer to say the most important word (often being the verb) in a sentence backwards, creating comedic situations. For example, instead of saying knits, he will say stink; god would be dog etc. It affects only his speech, and he doesn't realize he's doing it, but the parishioners of Nibbleswicke are shocked and confused by his seemingly outrageous comments. A cure is found (walking backwards everywhere for the rest of his life), and the mild-mannered vicar can resume normal service.

My Mom's New Business!

I am planning to build a small business for my mom. I talked to her last Monday and we discussed what kind of business she would like to handle. We try to observe what kind of business is now in-demand so we have, at least, an idea. We decided to make a burger and shake business. We know for sure that this would become successful knowing that summer is nearing. Fruit shakes will definitely a big hit and a great way to start my mom’s business. Aside from what kind of business we are going to make, we should also pay attention on where will our business be located. My mom suggests that it would be great if we are near beside the school or any public places. In that way, we can attract a lot of more customers. Of course, even you are in a public places, it is not easy to catch someone’s attention unless you have a great and catchy promotional tools or materials. Actually, while I am searching online, I found BigPosters.com. It is a site that offers wholesale banner stand. That’s it! We need a banner stand to catch people’s attention. The more creative the banner, the more customers will come! I wish all the best for my mom’s new business. I'll give you an update as soon as my mom starts.

"ESIO TROT"

Esio Trot is a 1990 children's novel written by Roald Dah. The story starts with Mr. Hoppy who is a shy old man who lives alone in an apartment. For many years, he has been secretly in love with Mrs. Silver, a woman who lives below him. Mr. Hoppy frequently leans over his balcony and exchanges polite conversation with Mrs. Silver, but he is too shy to disclose how he feels. Mr. Hoppy longs to express his feelings to Mrs. Silver, but he can never bring his lips to form the words.Mrs. Silver has a small pet turtle, Alfie, who she loves very much. One morning, Mrs. Silver mentions to Mr. Hoppy that even though she has had Alfie for many years, her pet has only grown a tiny bit and has gained only 3 ounces in weight. She confesses that she wishes she knew of some way to make her little Alfie grown into a larger, more dignified tortoise. Mr. Hoppy suddenly thinks of a way to give Mrs. Silver her wish and (he hopes!) win her affection. Over the next few days, Mr. Hoppy carries out the second part of his plan. He visits every pet shop in the city, and buys many tortoises of various sizes, but none that weigh less than 13 ounces. Mr. Hoppy brings all the tortoises back to his apartment and installs them in a makeshift corral in his living room. Next, Mr. Hoppy builds a special tool to help him snatch the tortoise from Mrs. Silver's balcony. He fastens a handle to the end of a long metal tube, and a tiny claw at the bottom. By pulling the handle, the arms of the claw gently open and close. The following day, when Mrs. Silver leaves for work, Mr. Hoppy selects a tortoise from his living room that weighs exactly 15 ounces. He carefully picks Alfie up from the lower balcony, and exchanges him with the new tortoise. When Mrs. Silver returns home, she faithfully whispers the magic words in Alfie's ear, but does not notice that an exchange has been made. Over the next 8 weeks, Mr. Hoppy continues to switch Mrs. Silver's current pet with a slightly larger tortoise, but she still does not perceive that her pet is growing in size. One afternoon, Mrs. Silver comments to Mr. Hoppy that Alfie seems a bit bigger, but cannot tell for sure. Suddenly, Mrs. Silver notices that Alfie can no longer fit through the door to his house, and exclaims to Mr. Hoppy that his spell is sure to be working! Mrs. Silver runs inside and weighs her pet, and is surprised to find that Alfie now weighs 27 ounces, more than double the weight he was before! Mr. Hoppy summons his courage and asks Mrs. Silver if he can come down and see the effect for himself. Mrs. Silver, in raptures over her pet's transformation, gladly grants his request. Mr. Hoppy races down the stairs, nervous and excited to be on the brink of winning Mrs. Silver's heart. Mrs. Silver flings open the door, embraces Mr. Hoppy, and expresses her admiration for Mr. Hoppy's magical spell. Mr. Hoppy, suddenly emboldened by Mrs. Silver's warm smile, asks Mrs. Silver for her hand in marriage. Mrs. Silver delightedly accepts Mr. Hoppy's proposal, then adds that she thought he would never get around to asking. Mr. Hoppy secretly returns all the tortoises in his living room back to their respective pet shops, and Mr. Hoppy and Mrs. Silver are happily married a few weeks later.

"MATILDA"

I know you are all aware who Matilda Wormwood is. She is famous girl character from Roald Dahl's "Matilda". Matilda Wormwood is a remarkably bright child, anxious to go to school to learn and read books. However, her gifts are unappreciated by her neglectful and unpleasant family. Her father, Harry , is a used-car salesman who sells overpriced faulty cars for unfair prices, while her mother Zinnia leaves Matilda home alone so she can play bingo. They encourage her to watch television like her brother Michael and send her to room simply for being smart. Hurt and mentally unchallenged, Matilda gets her revenge by playing pranks on her family. Matilda is sent to school by her parents, and exhibits amazing intellectual capacity and ability in her introductory class. After witnessing Matilda's great intellect in the classroom, her benevolent teacher, Miss Jennifer "Jenny" Honey, appeals to the headteacher to have Matilda moved up into an advanced class, but the cold and bitter headmistress, Miss Agatha Trunchbull, refuses. Miss Honey also tries, in vain, to reason with Mr and Mrs Wormwood, but she is not welcomed, and both parents make it clear that they are not interested either in Matilda or the value of education and learning. In the story, Matilda discovers she has psychokinetic powers - explained later by Miss Honey as an outpouring of Matilda's tremendous mental prowess, after repression by her parents and in the classroom, seeking another outlet for itself). She learns this inadvertently when her best friend, Lavender, puts a newt in Miss Trunchbull's water glass, and Matilda somehow tips the glass over with her mind. Matilda confesses this to Miss Honey, who is surprised to learn of Matilda's powers. Miss Honey invites Matilda to her cottage for further conversation. She lives in poverty, after being cheated out of her inheritance by Miss Trunchbull, who is revealed to be Miss Honey's aunt. When Matilda learns of how Miss Trunchbull mistreated Miss Honey for years on end, she formulates a plan - using her newfound psychokinetic powers - to get rid of 'The Trunchbull' for good. When Miss Trunchbull pays her next visit to Miss Honey's classroom, Matilda uses her powers to lift a piece of chalk and write with it on the blackboard. Posing as the spirit of Miss Honey's dead father, Magnus - who was thought to have committed suicide, though Miss Honey's testimony suggest that he may have actually been murdered by Miss Trunchbull. Matilda writes a message promising grisly revenge against Miss Trunchbull unless she gives Miss Honey her due inheritance. Terrified by this seemingly supernatural apparition, Miss Trunchbull collapses. The next day, Miss Trunchbull is found to have disappeared. A will is found which reveals that Miss Honey is the rightful beneficiary to his property, and she moves back into her father's house. With Miss Trunchbull gone, Matilda is moved out of Miss Honey's class and into a more advanced class, where she loses all of her powers. Miss Honey theorises that because Matilda is now being challenged in school, she no longer has the excess "brainpower" that allowed her to have psychokinetic powers. Matilda returns home to find that her father has decided to move her family to Spain. Matilda returns to Miss Honey, who reveals that the police have been waiting for a chance to arrest Matilda's father due to his dishonest businesses. Matilda asks her family to let her remain with Miss Honey, and with a characteristic lack of interest in her, they agree. Matilda is left with Miss Honey, as her parents and brother drive away.

This is another interesting short story from Roald Dahl. hope you like it. The story itself is loosely based around Billy, a young boy who has always dreamed of owning a sweet shop, especially since there is an abandoned one named The Grubber (an old slang English word for sweet shop) near where he lives. One day, he finds that the old building has been renovated and has become the head office for the Ladderless Window-Cleaning Company. Billy then meets its workers, a Giraffe, a Pelican (or "Pelly" as he is called by the others) and a Monkey, whom he then befriends. They all band together when they receive a letter from the Duke of Hampshire asking them to clean the windows of Hampshire House.
When they get there, things go smoothly until the Giraffe and the Monkey, while cleaning the windows of the Duchess's bedroom, spot a burglar who attempts to steal the Duchess's diamond jewellery. The Pelican then flies in and catches the burglar in his beak, holding him there while the others panic. Eventually, the police arrive to arrest the burglar, whom the Chief of Police identifies as "The Cobra", one of the world's most dangerous cat burglars.
As a reward for retrieving the Duchess's diamonds, the Duke invites the L.W.C.C. to live on his estate as his personal helper. Billy's dreams come true as since the Giraffe, Pelican and Monkey will no longer be needing the Grubber building; with a little help from the Duke, the Grubber is reopened into the most fantastic place in the whole city! THE WITHCHES

"THE WITCHES"

Unlike the usual description of withches in fairytales, real witches as described by Roald Dahl, do not wear pointy hats, ride brooms and have frizzy, scary hairdos. Real withches do dislike children very very much. Thus is the explanation of th boy's grandmother, who becomes his guardian after his parent die tragically in a car crash. Unfortunately, the boy stumbles inmto a witches' convention and transform into a mouse, but with the help of his wise, clever grandmother, they are able to make the world a happier witch-free place for children. The book's witches, described as "demons in human form", form a well-connected organization which aims to destroy children. No motive is given, other than witches' abhorrence of children, and the foul stench children give off to witches. This organization has branches in every country in the world, and is particularly powerful in Norway, where the origin of witches is said to have been and where, as a result, the witches' operation is known to all. The chapters in different countries are forbidden to communicate, although the witches in each country are generally all friends. Each witch seeks to eliminate at least one child per week. The grandmother describes how to recognize a witch: witches have no hair, and must therefore wear wigs directly on their naked scalps, resulting in a condition they call "wig-rash"; witches have thin, curved, claw-like fingernails that they must disguise with gloves; witches have no toes; a witch's spit is bright blue, leaving a pale bluish film on their teeth; and a witch has unusual pupils in which one may see "fire and ice dancing" in the centre. The boy implies also that ghouls and barghests exist, although not as dangerous as witches. The boy is warned by his grandmother of the leader of the witches, the Grand High Witch, the terrifying ruler of all the witches in the world. When the grandmother later becomes ill, their holiday to Norway is postponed in favour of a time in England. They stay at a luxury hotel, where they discover that the English witches have come to hold their annual meeting. At the annual convention of English witches (ironically disguised as a "Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children" convention), the Grand High Witch, angry at the witches' failure to destroy all of the children in England, unveils a master plan wherein the English witches should purchase sweet shops (using counterfeit banknotes given to them by the Grand High Witch) and give away free chocolate laced with Formula 86 Delayed Action Mouse Maker, a mixture which will change anyone who eats it into a mouse at a specific time. The witches are instructed by the Grand High Witch that the formula will activate at 9:00 a.m. the day after the children have eaten the chocolate, when they are at school. The teachers, she hopes, will panic and kill the mice, thereby doing the witches' work for them. The Grand High Witch turns a fat child named Bruno Jenkins (lured to the convention hall by the promise of free chocolate) into a mouse as a demonstration of her potion. Shortly after, the witches smell the narrator's presence (based on the premise that children smell repulsive to witches) and change him into a mouse by giving him an overdose of the formula.Luckily, the formula had overlooked one thing: the transformed child still keeps his mind, his personality, his sentience and his voice. The transformed boy returns to his grandmother's room, and tells her who he was and what he had heard. They steal a bottle of the witches' potion and pour it into the green pea soup in the kitchen reserved for the witches' dinner. The witches all turn into mice almost instantly, having ingested overdoses. The hotel staff panic and kill all England's witches in their form of mice. The boy and his grandmother then create a plan to use the potion recipe the witches created to attack the Grand High Witch's Norwegian headquarters, hoping to change all remaining witches into mice, release cats into the building to kill them, and then use the Grand High Witch's counterfeit money to fund a mission to repeat the process all over the world.

"THE BFG"

The story is about a little girl named Sophie, a name inspired by the author's granddaughter Sophie Dahl; Roald's mother was Sofie Magdalene Hesselberg Dahl. One night when Sophie can't fall asleep during the "witching hour", she sees a giant blowing something into the bedroom windows down the street. The giant notices her; although she tries to hide in her bed, he reaches through the window and carries her away to his home in giant country.Fortunately for Sophie, she has been abducted by the world's only benevolent giant, the Big Friendly Giant or BFG. Operating in the strictest secrecy, the BFG catches good dreams. With the help of his giant ears he can hear dreams and their contents (which manifest themselves in misty Dream Country as floating, blob-like objects) and blow them via a trumpet-like blowpipe into the bedrooms of children. When he catches a nightmare, he explodes it, bottles it forever, or sometimes uses it to start fights among his neighboring mean giants. The BFG has a very pleasant character, oftentimes misusing words and having difficulty in grammar. He often writes down mixtures of dreams for children. Sophie teaches him how to speak properly and in the end it is revealed that the story was written and told by the BFG himself after learning english from Sophie. The other giants are not so pleasant; each night they go out into the world to steal and eat "human beans", especially children. There is little else for them to eat where they live; the BFG, because he refuses to eat people, must survive on a revoltingly bitter and sour vegetable known as a snozzcumber. Luckily he is also able to make a delicious drink called frobscottle, which is fizzy and infinitely refreshing. It is rather unusual in that the bubbles in the drink travel downwards and therefore cause the drinker to break wind instead of burp; this causes noisy flatulence known as Whizzpoppers.Sophie and the BFG become friends. Eventually, Sophie persuades the BFG that something must be done to stop the anthropophagous, or cannibalistic, giants. Together they develop a plan to get the Queen of England to help them. The BFG mixes a dream which will show the Queen what the giants do; when complete, it is the worst nightmare she has ever encountered. They set off for Buckingham Palace and blow the dream into the Queen's bedroom. The BFG then leaves Sophie on the Queen's windowsill and retreats into the palace gardens to hide. When the Queen awakens, Sophie tells her that all of her dream was true. Because the dream included the knowledge that Sophie would be there when she woke up, the Queen believes her and speaks with the BFG. After considerable effort by the palace staff to create a table, chair and cutlery of appropriate size for him to use, the BFG is given a lavish breakfast, and the Queen begins work on eliminating the other giants. She calls the King of Sweden and the Sultan of Baghdad to confirm the BFG's story-- the giants having visited those locations on the previous two nights--then summons the head of the Army and the Marshal of the Air Force. The said officers, though initially belligerent and skeptical, are brought to cooperate.Eventually a huge fleet of helicopters follows the BFG to the giants' homeland. While the child-eating giants are asleep, the Army ties them up, hangs them under the helicopters, and after a brief struggle with the Fleshlumpeater, flies them to London, where a special large pit has been constructed from which they will not be able to escape. For their punishment, the child-eating giants must eat the gross, ukyslush snozzcumber and yell/moan in embarrassment and humiliation.

What would you consider to wear? Contact lenses or Eyeglasses? Contact Lenses are very fashionable yet very expensive. You can choose what colors you like for your eyes. Contact lenses required a very intensive care which will cost its using too much time and money. Meanwhile, Eyeglasses are also fashionable yet too bulky to use. You can choose different styles and designs for your eyeglasses. Eyeglasses do not require you to offer an intensive care. As long as you put it in the safe place, it’s pretty okay. For me, eyeglasses works better. It is durable and last longer than contact lenses. Nowadays, according to Eric’s Review of Zenni Optical, you don’t need to spend money for your eyeglasses repair because there are now available prescription glasses purchasable online. Meaning to say, you don’t need to visit your optometrist just for a repair. I went over to ZenniOptical.co, The #1 online Rx glasses store to find out how affordable their glasses are. I was surprised to see that you can purchase an eyeglass for as low as $8. Look what I found from their site. This is one of their $8 glasses. I simply love the style and the color. It is perfect to match up with some of my clothes. So if you are looking for the Lowest Price Progressive Glasses, Zenni Optical is just right for you.

"GEORGE'S MARVELLOUS MEDICINE"

The story starts with George Kranky, a small boy who lives on a farm with his mother, father and grandmother, is fed up of his Grandma's selfishness, grumpiness and her attitude towards him. George seeks to cure it by brewing a special medicine to cure her (made from every harmful product in the house, and several animal medicines from his father's shed), only to end up making his Grandma as tall as a house. While this does not improve her disposition, it does make her happier. George's father Mr. Killy Kranky (a farmer) and mother come home; when the father sees the giant hen (produced by the medicine given to the hen to prove to Grandma that the reason she is that huge is because of his medicine, although this attempt is failed), he is excited while the mother is first in shock and then starts to ignore the grandmother. George's father hits on the idea of making more of George's marvellous medicine to make his animals bigger and fatter so they can be sold for higher prices at the market. Unfortunately, George cannot remember the recipe (basically because he put in everything he could find); after four failed attempts, involving some oddly deformed chickens, they create a formula which makes things shrink. The nasty Grandma, feeling ignored, thinks that the medicine is her tea and drinks all of it, shrinking to nothing, and complains the entire time. The mother is sad, while the father is happy and says all is well because the grandmother was a nasty old hag; by lunchtime, the mother agrees with her husband. George then realizes that in a mere two days, he has touched, with his fingertips, the edge of another world. Yet everyone else has already forgotten about it. The story then ends.

"THE TWITS"

It's time for us to meet the Twits. The Twits is a humorous children's book written by Roald Dahl. Mr. and Mrs. Twit are two ugly, smelly, nasty, stupid people who spend their lives playing nasty tricks on each other. They also enjoy being cruel to animals, which they do by luring birds to glue-smothered trees so they can be baked into bird pie, and tormenting their pet monkeys, Muggle-Wump and his family, by getting them to stand upside down, one on top of the other. They hate children, and Mrs. Twit often carries a walking stick in her right hand that she uses to hit children and animals. One day, the arrival of the Roly-Poly Bird from Africa allows the monkeys and the surviving birds to get the revenge they have craved for years. They glue the carpet and furniture to the living room ceiling while the Twits are out. On the Twits' return, two ravens swoop over and drop glue from paintbrushes held in their claws onto the Twits' heads. When the Twits go indoors and see their furniture upside down, they stand on their heads, believing they are upside down, and because of the glue on their heads, they remain stuck that way. With the Twits out of the way, the Muggle-Wumps are able to return to their native Africa with the help of the Roly-Poly Bird. Eventually, the Twits' bodies collapse into themselves, until there is nothing left of them but their clothes.

The story is all about, as what the title suggests, An Enormous Crocodile. One day an enormous crocodile goes tramping through the forest telling all the animals he's going to eat children. The animals tell him that it's a horrible thing to do but he tries to use his tricks to eat the tasty children nonetheless. However, every time he tries, the animals of the forest save the children. Later on, a giant elephant finishes the crocodile off by swinging him around in the air by his tail and letting him go until he flies into the sky and crashes head first into the hot sun.

At first, I was subscribed under a local TV provider but then I wasn’t that satisfied watching local tv channels and I felt a little bored at the same time. That is why I decided to switch to a cable tv service. I thought that it is a great idea but same thing happen with my local tv provider. It seems that something is missing and it seems that there’s a lack of excitement. I also felt bad with my cable service provider because I cannot watch my favorite show and channels in clear and in high definition. I realized that I am just paying for a poor quality of service. In the end, I am just an unhappy customer looking for a real tv experience.
That is why I am very happy to discover the wonders of satellite tv. It is wider, clearer and very convenient. Out of many leading satellite tv service provider, most of my friends recommend me to try Dish Network. It was said that Dish Network is one of the most popular satellite tv providers in US. "DANNY, THE CHAMPION OF THE WORLD"

There was a film adapted version of this book in year 1989. The Story id all about a young boy named Danny. Danny's mother died suddenly when he was only four months old and from then on he lived with his father in an old Gypsy vardo at the back of a filling station, where his father fixed cars. By the time Danny was seven years old, he was able to take apart, and then put back together a switch motor.Danny's father owned the filling station, and it was the only piece of land for miles around that was not owned by a wealthy but unpleasant local man called Mr. Victor Hazell, who owns a brewery and drives around in a silver Rolls-Royce. After Mr. Hazell threatened Danny and Danny's father subsequently refused to give him service, various inspectors came to visit them, including a health inspector who said he was concerned about the condition of the caravan, and another inspector who wanted to check that the petrol being sold was of an adequate standard. Danny's father was convinced that Mr. Hazell was having these inspectors sent in to try and drive them out, and this made him furious. When Danny was nine years old he woke up in the middle of the night and couldn't find his father. When his father eventually returned, he said that he'd been to poach pheasants from Hazell's Wood. Danny's father then let Danny in on a secret of poaching: pheasants love raisins, and placing a raisin inside a "Sticky Hat" (a piece of paper rolled into a cone shape with glue on the inside) is the perfect trap with which to catch a pheasant, since it won't run away if it can't see. Another trick that Danny's dad taught him was the "Horse-Hair Stopper": A horse's tailhair, when threaded through a raisin, would cause the raisin (upon swallowing) to become lodged in the pheasant's throat. This in turn causes the pheasant to become so preoccupied with trying to swallow the raisin that a poacher can easily catch it. Other methods are less effective. Soaking the raisins in gin to make the pheasant drunk only works if the bird eats more than a dozen of them. One evening, Danny's father went poaching and promised to be back no later than 10:30 p.m. Danny, waking at 2.10am, discovers his father's absence. Fearing the worst, he sets off in an Austin Seven motor car that his father has been repairing, but while driving along the road he notices a car in the distance. He eventually passes the car and realises that it's the police, who then come back to pursue him. However, the windy layout of the road makes it easy for Danny to drive through a gap in a hedge without being seen, and the police car races past.He finds his father in Hazell's Wood, where he has fallen down a specially-dug pit-trap and suffered a broken ankle, and eventually manages to get him back to the car. They head home, where they call Doc Spencer, a good friend of Danny's father and a fellow poacher, to treat Danny's father for his injury. Danny's father is prescribed strong sleeping pills to deal with the pain of his broken ankle, but declines to use them. While Danny's father is recovering from his injury, they hear that Mr. Hazell's annual pheasant-shooting party is approaching, which he hosts to curry favor and prestige among the gentry. They decide to humiliate him by luring all the pheasants away from the forest, so there will be no pheasants to shoot. Danny suggests that they should put the contents of sleeping tablets inside raisins which the pheasants will then eat; his father dubs this new method the "Sleeping Beauty." Having poached 120 pheasants from Mr. Hazell's woods, they hide the drugged pheasants at the local vicar's house, while they take a taxi home. The next morning, the vicar's wife delivers the sleeping pheasants in a specially-built oversized baby carriage. As she is walking toward them, the pheasants began to wake up and fly, but they droopily fall back down. An angry Hazell arrives at the filling station just as the pheasants are waking up. With the help of Sgt. Samways, the local constable, Danny and his father herd the groggy birds onto Hazell's Rolls Royce, where they scratch the paintwork and defecate all over it, inside and out. Once the pheasants have woken completely, they fly away from the scene - in the opposite direction from Hazell's wood. Mr. Hazell drives off in disgrace, his fancy car and shooting party both ruined.Danny is hailed as "the champion of the world" by his father, Doc Spencer, and Sgt. Samways, but their victory is a bittersweet one, due to the fact that all the pheasants flew away. But Doc Spencer shows them six pheasants who have died from eating too many drugged raisins. They each receive two pheasants, except the Doc, who didn't want any.Danny and his father walk off toward town, intending to buy a new oven for cooking their pheasants. As they stroll along, Danny muses about how fortunate he is to have a father who is so imaginative and fun to be with.

"FANTASTIC MR. FOX"

I bet you all enjoyed the 2009 Animated Film "Fantastic Mr. Fox" but kids on the young generation don't have any idea where this film is originated from. It is actually one of Roald Dahl's creation. This story is about a fox named Mr Fox. In order to feed his family, Mr Fox steals chickens, ducks, turkeys, and cider each night from three mean and wealthy farmers: Boggis, Bunce and Bean. The farmers are fed up with Mr Fox's theft and try to kill him. One night, the farmers wait outside Mr Fox's foxhole in an attempt to ambush him. When Mr Fox emerges from his home, the farmers fire at him. However, the farmers only succeed in blowing off Mr Fox's tail.
Determined to catch him, the farmers use spades and shovels to dig their way into the foxes' home. However, Mr and Mrs Fox and their four children escape by digging a tunnel deeper into the ground. The farmers then use bulldozers in order to dig deeper into the ground, but to no avail. The three men therefore decide to watch the entrance to the fox tunnel with shotguns at the ready, while the farmers' men patrol the area to make sure the foxes do not escape. After three days of starving, Mr Fox comes up with a plan. He and his children dig a tunnel into Boggis's chicken house. There, they steal some chickens and depart without leaving any sign of their presence. They also raid Bunce's storehouse of ducks, geese and vegetables as well as Bean's underground cellar of cider. Along the way, the foxes meet Badger and other digging animals who are also starving due to the farmers' siege of the hillside. Mr Fox, feeling responsible for the whole affair, invites the other animals to a feast made from the loot. At the feast, the animals decide to make an underground town where they will be safe, while discreetly obtaining food from the farmers. Meanwhile, Boggis, Bunce and Bean keep guard on the tunnel entrance in pouring rain, unaware that Mr Fox and his friends are stealing their food right under their noses. The book ends with the indication the three will be waiting forever.

THE MAGIC FINGER

"THE MAGIC FINGER"

This is another great book from Roald Dahl! I just hope there will be a film version of this one. The story is about the Gregg family that hunts ducks for fun, and is narrated by an unnamed eight-year-old girl, who live next door to them. The girl possesses a power to punish people who make her cross called "the magic finger" but she has no control over what it does or when it happens. The girl becomes so annoyed at the Greggs shooting and killing ducks she places the magic finger on them. The next day the Greggs wake up as tiny people with wings instead of arms and their house is taken over by four human-size ducks with arms instead of wings. The Greggs are forced to build a nest in one of the trees in their garden, where they spend the night. The next morning they wake up to find the large ducks with the Greggs' guns, standing under their tree. They make the Greggs promise not to hunt shoot ducks anymore. They are changed back into normal humans. The next day, the girl goes to their house and find the family smashing their guns and setting up graves for the birds that they killed. The girl hears a gun fire as a neighbouring family, the Coopers, start shooting. Running in that direction, she shouts back to the Greggs that the Coopers will be nesting in the trees that night.

"CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY"

Well, i guess you are all familiar with this book. It has two film versions; The "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory in 1971 and recently in 2005 , the "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory". The story was originally inspired by Roald Dahl's experience of chocolate companies during his schooldays. The story is all about a nice boy named Charlie Bucket who won one of the five Golden Tickets hidden under the wrappers of the candy bars. Charlie along with the other four bad children including the gluttonous Augustus Gloop, spoiled Veruca Salt, gum-addicted Violet Beauregarde, and television-obsessed Mike Teavee will go on a tour led by Willy Wonka, the Candy Maker. Each Kids will be accompanied by their parent except Charlie who is accompanied by his Grandpa Joe. As the group moves from room to room, the tour turns into a punishment for the bad children as one child after another falls victim to his/her particular vices and is removed. Augustus falls into a chocolate river and is sucked up a pipe to the fudge room; Violet turns into a blueberry after consuming experimental chewing gum; Veruca is thrown down a garbage chute after attempting to take one of Wonka's nut-cracking squirrels for her own; and Mike is shrunk after meddling with dangerous television equipment. They leave the factory with permanent reminders of their misbehavior as well as their lifetime supply of chocolate: Augustus is squeezed thin, Violet is purple, Veruca is covered in garbage, and Mike is ten feet tall and very thin (Wonka had him stretched to repair the damage caused by the TV equipment). Charlie is the only child who does not misbehave throughout the factory. Seeing that he is the only one left, Wonka announces that he has "won." He receives the entire factory and will take over the company after Wonka retires. The reason Wonka had sent out the Golden Tickets was to find a child to be his heir, as he himself has no family to carry on his work. Wonka, Charlie and Grandpa Joe board a special glass elevator . As they are propelled up from the factory.

We should all be aware that Global Warming is conterminously striking all over the world and we all should do something about it. One of the major causes of Global Warming is the chemicals or the smoke produced by fueled vehicles. It contains harmful toxic that has a negative effect to our ozone layer. One of the greatest solution is to find a great alternative for fuels. That is why i am so happy that there's a company that released an environmental-friendly motorcycle. They are the Enertia Electric Motorcycle. You can visit their website at www.vitodibari.com and see what the site has to offer. This is a great way to start a brand new world!

Eyeglasses are great fashion statement for me. You can match it with your clothes and add more color to your outfits. Well, aside from being a fashion statement, we all know that eyeglass is a very useful eye protection tool. It is also used for vision correction. I love wearing glasses because I feel good wearing them. I love transparent eye glasses because I feel more comfortable with it than wearing shaded glasses. As you wear your fashion eye glasses it became and formed part of your identity. I simply love wearing them even my younger sister feels great wearing glasses. These eyeglasses may be made either with prescription or non-prescription lens which depends upon your eyesight condition. I got a normal 20/20 so I don’t wear prescription glasses yet but just to make sure, my mom is advising me to consult an ophthalmologist to check if I should now be wearing prescription lenses. I used to collect eyeglasses since high school. Since I am now aware that buying eyeglasses is somehow risky in a way that buying non-prescription glasses can damage your eyes and may cause poor eyesight, it would be great to buy eyeglasses with well-trusted brand like Zenni Optical. I just went over to their site at www.zennioptical.com and saw a bunch of their cheapest yet high-quality eyeglasses collection. Take note! You can purchase it for as low as 8 bucks. Amazing right? Some of my friends were saying that they rather wear contact lens than wearing bulky eyeglasses but for me, I still prefer wearing glasses. Unlike contact lenses, eyeglasses are less expensive and don’t require extreme maintenance.

I just want to share these funny pictures. It was my sister who took this funny yet creative photos of her panda staff toy. Enjoy!

Naruto Spoilers

I am a big fan of Japanese Anime and an avid follower of today’s hottest manga like Bleach, One Piece, Full Metal Alchemist and of course my favorite, Naruto! I never failed to miss any of their episodes and chapters. I even buy some anime compilation DVDs so I can recall some of the anime’s previous volumes. Naruto Shippuden is my favorite anime and Sasuke Uchiha is my favorite character. In anime, Naruto and the rest of his team including Sakura Haruno were about to save Sasuke after he left the Konoha and gained Orochimaru’s power. However, anime is just a summarize version of the actual manga. That’s why I still prefer to read manga than watching anime.
Since I am not residing in Japan, where these animes came from, it usually takes a week or two before the translated version will be released. And because I just can’t take the excitement to see the next chapter, I try to search some spoilers on the web so I can keep my self up to date. Currently Naruto is on its 484th chapter.
Chapter 484 is full of action and series of exciting event, Sakura Haruno is now determined to kill Sasuke. After she saw what happen to Karin, Sakura realized that he is not the Sasuke that she knew anymore. Sakura failed to kill Sasuke and when Sasuke is about to kill her, Naruto came to rescue her from Sasuke. I am so excited for the next chapter. I wonder what will happen next. Will there be a fight against Naruto and Sasuke?
I should not waste any of my time and I better search for some spoilers. Yeah, I know it’s not fair but you can’t blame an avid fan like me! If you are looking for a site where you can find some anime spoilers including Naruto, YouSayToo is the perfect place for you. It is a site that offers not just about latest anime spoilers but also about games, celebrity, current events, fashion, lifestyle, home and living, and a whole lot more. Name it! YouSayToo have it all for you. Just visit the site and see what the site has to offer. That’s all for today! I’ll soon give you an update about Naruto. Have a great day!

"JAMES AND THE GIANT PEACH"

Remember the 1996 Animated film with the same title? It is actually based on the novel with the same title written by no other than Roald Dahl. The story begins with a young boy named James Henry Trotter who finds himself living with his two abusive aunts, Spiker and Sponge, after his parents are "eaten by a rhino that appears out of nowhere." Life with his aunts is hard and he dreams of a better place, specifically New York City, a "dream like" place his parents had talked about. His dream comes true when a mysterious stranger appears with a bagful of magic green "crocodile tongues" which are supposed to make his life better. When James is returning to Sponge and Spiker's house, he trips and the "tongues" fall into the root of an old peach tree, affecting it and its inhabitants in amazing ways. One peach is soon found on the tree, and it grows to immense proportions. James ventures into the giant fruit were he finds and befriends a group of anthropomorphic insects (who are all much larger than his small petite frame) who also dream of an ideal home (Mr. Old Green Grasshopper, Mr. Centipede, Mr. Earthworm, Miss Spider, Mrs. Ladybug, Silkworm and Glowworm). Mr. Centipede manages to cut the twig holding the giant peach to the tree, and the peach rolls away to the Atlantic ocean with James and his friends inside it. They use Miss Spider's and Silkworm's silk to tie a hundred seagulls to the peach stem, allowing them to fly their way to New York City while going through a series of adventures such as facing a giant robotic shark, skeletal pirates in an old frozen galleon, and the rhino which is riding with the clouds. The group finally gets to New York City, where James stands up to his aunts and learns to face his fears.
